"Give and Take" is my favorite - lines like "spit the knives through my veins" are very powerful. Nice work Kerriann, David

I admire your evolution throughout "Waiting" Kerriann! Especially since the New Year, the Series is really hitting it's stride. What sets you apart is that your work is so emotionally diverse. You have the unique ability to capture nature's ambiance ("If morning were a person..."/"Tides"), the interpersonal coy emotional 'chess-game' ("The Line"/"1 pm Reverie"/"Give and Take"), and you even masterfully comment on the process of poetic artistry and spell out the aspiration of the artist for how he/she hopes the reader experiences their work ("If this were an Album..."). Your most recent work ("One is the Loneliest Number...") is again a departure in style and tone; this time speaking to the feelings of the nighttime dreame,r drowning, yet also thriving, in the pit of his/her own reclusive loneliness. Your work is brilliant Kerriann in it's unpredictability and ever-changing topical and emotional nature, and you hit every diverse feeling flawlessly with your gift of word arrangement and metaphors. Truly a special Series and talent. Awesome work. Keep going! Best Always, John :-)

Started with the last poem first "Tides" and really felt the intimacy that is inspired by the Sea - nice work and I'll keep reading! Thanks, David

"Epitome of Existence" is up and live. Thanks to all who have been reading and commenting. I may share a new one earlier than next Thursday depending on how I feel about this one in the upcoming days.

I think it to be rare to read a series of poetry where the series actually lives up to the word "series". I definitely feel a narrative forming week-to-week, poem-to-poem, and believe me that is a difficult feeling to instill in a reader. It seems to me that each installment acts as a chapter driving a narrative to an end I cannot quite yet forsee. You've got me "WAITING"!!! Also as Mr. Flore here has suggested your poetry is rife with emotion, but it's almost like a passive aggressive emotion. The "anxious energy" he speaks of is so true, but its more than just in the lines... It's in ME too! Great Work Kerri...

Daniel J. Flore III      11/21/16 2:46 AM

Palpable emotion. A strong, anxious energy running through your lines. Enjoying the vibe and looking forward to reading more! Awesome cover too by the way!
